I can't tell you how excited I am to see Lucky Guy. Not only will it star two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks but it is written by the late Nora Ephron. In case you didn't know besides being an acclaimed playwright and novelist she also wrote the screenplays for When Harry Met Sally,Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. Two of which are personal favorites of mine. Care to guess which one is not on my favorites list? Well since they all star Meg Ryan it is probably a little difficult to figure out. Don't worry. I won't keep you guessing. It's Sleepless in Seattle. I don't know why but I just didn't like it as much as the other two. Maybe it's because the two stars didn't share any scenes together until the very end.
I guess it doesn't really matter what I think since the movie was a giant hit. Anyway enough about the movies. You came here to find about about Lucky Guy. Previews for the show are scheduled to begin this Friday at the Broadhurst Theatre with opening night set for April 1. As of now the show is set to play thru June 16 only. Will it extend? Well I guess it all depends on Mr. Hanks film schedule. We shall see. By the way for those of you who want tickets to see Lucky Guy you have come to the right place.
