Ten Years And Counting The London Production Of The 39 Steps Is Still A Must See

The 39 Steps TicketsTen years. Ten years of laughs. Ten years of great performances. What's that you say? You mean you still haven't seen it? You've only had ten years people. I know. We get it. The show's been playing for ten years. Enough already. You want to know how to get tickets. I mean that's why you're here right? Of course it would probably help to know what the show is about first. So why don't I tell you. Now I saw the show when it first premiered on Broadway in 2008. It was hilarious. To be honest I thought I might be a little lost.

Why you ask? Well, because the whole premise behind The 39 Steps is that they are essentially spoofing the well known Alfred Hitchcock film, as well as several other of his classics like Rear Window, Psycho, and Vertigo. The truth is I've never seen any of them. In fact I've never seen any of the films of Alfred Hitchcock. Therefore I wondered if I would get any of the jokes. Thankfully the show is so well put together that it didn't really matter. Like I said. It was hilarious. But don't take my word for it. After all I'm not the one buying tickets to see it. You are. Therefore here is a little synopsis to give you a little more info about The 39 Steps. Enjoy!

Based on an original idea by Nobby Dimon and Simon Corbie from the book by John Buchan. This brand new version will be performed by four actors playing a minimum of 150 roles and contains every single legendary scene from the award-winning movie including the chase on the Flying Scotsman, the escape on the Forth Bridge, the first theatrical bi-plane crash ever staged and the sensational death-defying finale in the London Palladium, besides many other favourite cinematic moments. Also including the memorable and controversial 'stockings and suspenders' scene.

Sounds pretty great right? Oh and did I mention that the show won the Olivier Award For Best Comedy in 2007, and has played in fourteen different countries around the world including China, Brazil, Germany, Sweden and Spain? Pretty impressive right? Now I bet you're ready to purchase tickets right? So how do you do it? Well I'll tell you. Just give us a call and we can get you tickets to see The 39 Steps. That's right. We sell it. In fact we sell every show in London. Get your tickets to see The 39 Steps in London at the Criterion Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.
