Broadway Production Of Jersey Boys Reaches Milestone

Can you believe it's been almost five years since the Jersey Boys first opened? I know I can't. Now believe it or not but today's blog is not about that. Although that would be big news too. No today's blog is about something even more historic. Yesterday it was announced that the Jersey Boys has become the longest running show in the history of the August Wilson Theatre.

The theatre which was built in 1925 was formally known as the Virginia Theatre prior to being renamed for the late playwright in October 2005. The show which opened to rave reviews in December 2005 continues to be one of Broadway's highest grossing shows with no end it sight. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we are still talking about the show a decade from now.

I myself didn't see the show until almost two years into the run as I was worried that the show wouldn't live up to all the hype. Boy was I wrong. Not only is it a great show but I would even go as far to say that it is in my top ten of all time Broadway shows that I have seen. Trust me folks. It is a must see. Do you have to be a fan of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons? No. But it certainly does help. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. You will love it.
