Still haven't seen last years Tony Award winning musical yet? I am of course talking about Billy Elliot. The show which won ten 2009 Tony Awards including Best Musical opened on Broadway on November 13, 2008 and continues to be one of Broadway's most popular shows as well as a big seller in London as well. Now believe it or not but I have never seen the show. Heck I haven't even seen the movie.
Look I'm sure it's good. A show doesn't win all those awards for nothing after all. I just happen to have weird tastes. Now ten or fifteen years ago a show like Billy Elliot would have probably had me running to the theatre to buy a ticket. Not anymore. I tend to like shows that are more original. Meaning not based on a movie,cartoon,or book.
Yeah I know. Good luck finding one of those right? Anyway today's blog is not to complain about the state of Broadway. No today's blog is to tell you about an incredible offer.
