Pump Boys and Dinettes To Return To Broadway This Spring

Pump Boys and Dinettes which was last seen on Broadway back in 1983 will make it's return to the Great White Way when it begins previews at the Circle in the Square Theatre on March 23, 2013. Opening night is scheduled for April 8. Direction is by Tony winner John Doyle (Company, Sweeny Todd). Here is a brief synopsis about Pump Boys and Dinettes from the shows official website.

Set on Highway 57, Pump Boys and Dinettes is the story of four hard-working men at a gas station: Jim, Eddie, Jackson and L.M. The Cupp sisters, Prudie and Rhetta, work right next door at the Double Cupp Diner. Together, the six friends sing of heartbreak and joy while playing a variety of musical instruments including guitar, piano, bass, fiddle, banjo, ukulele, harmonica and even kitchen utensils.

Now that sounds like something that I would want to see.Plus the show will also feature onstage seating for the some of the audience. Leading the cast of musicians are former American Idol runner-up Bo Bice along with Erik Hayden, Alexander Gemignani, Justin Hosek, Leenya Rideout, and Jane Pfitsch. Tickets for Pump Boys and Dinettes are scheduled to go on sale in the coming weeks so make sure to check back with us then. Get your tickets to see Pump Boys and Dinettes on Broadway. I can't wait.
