Cast Recording Of Hamilton

What's that you say? Another article on Hamilton? What can I say? I give the people what they want. The show, which continues to play to packed houses eight times a week at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, recently celebrated another milestone.

The musicals cast recording, which to date has sold over three million copies, has officially achieved Triple Platinum status. The album, which was released in September 2015, debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 12, before eventually peaking at No. 3. That my friends is one impressive feat.

In fact, only four musicals in the last fifty years have earned a spot on Billboard's 200 Top Ten. Making history along side Hamilton are The Book of Mormon, Hair, and this season's hottest new show, Dear Evan Hansen. Here's hoping more musicals will soon have their name in the history book as well. Until next time theatre fans.
