Broadway Bound Michael Jackson Musical Find's It's Home

MJ the MusicalLet me just start off by saying that I am a fan of Michael Jackson's music. I always have been, and I always will be. It's what he did or allegedly did is what I have a problem with. Now the truth is, we may never know exactly what happened. But that's a story for another day. After all, by job is to write about the theatre. So why don't I get right to it. MJ The Musical, formerly known under it's previous title, Don't Stop To You Get Enough, is set to begin previews at the Neil Simon Theatre on July 6,2020, with opening night scheduled for August 13.

The show, which will feature a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Sweat, Ruined), and direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon (An American In Paris), was scheduled to premier in Chicago this fall. However it was cancelled due to the recent allegations against the late superstar. Interesting enough, the last show to play at the theatre, was also about an iconic pop star. The Cher Show. Which by the way, lasted less than a year, and failed to make back it's investment. Let's see if this new show fare's any better. We shall see. An on sale date for the show has yet to be announced. Be sure to check this website for further updates. Get your tickets to see MJ The Musical at the Neil Simon Theatre. Until next time theatre fans.
