The Lehman Trilogy To Begin Performances Tonight

Now I'll be honest. When I first moved to New York City back in the early 1990's, the thing I wanted to see on Broadway more than anything was a musical. Don't get me wrong. I love plays too. It's just that back then, a good old fashioned Broadway musical was more my thing. Now here we are all these years later, and I find myself more excited about seeing a new play, or a revival of a classic drama.

Which brings me to today's blog. In just a few hours, the cast of The Lehman Trilogy, will take the stage at the Nederlander Theatre. The show, which first premiered at the National Theatre in London in 2018, is scheduled to open on March 26. Set over a period of one hundred and sixty-three years, The Lehman Trilogy follows the lives of three different generations beginning in Bulgaria, and continuing as they make their way thru the high stakes world of finance in New York City.

Based on a play by Italian playwright Stefano Massini, and adapted by Ben Power, The Lehman Trilogy stars Tony Award nominee Adam Godley (Anything Goes), Ben Miles (The Crown), and Olivier Award winner Simon Russell Beale (Penny Dreadfule), and is directed by Academy and Tony Award winner Sam Mendes, (American Beauty, The Ferryman).Now for those of you who want tickets to see this critically acclaimed drama, you have come to the right place, we sell it.
