Let Applause Theatre Service Get You Tickets To The Hottest Shows On Broadway

Well now that the Oscar's are over it is time to get ready for the next awards show. And we all know what that one is right? The Tony Awards of course. The one night where the Broadway community comes together to celebrate what I think is one of the greatest things about New York City. Broadway. As it stands right now there are seven new shows that have or will have opened by Tony night. Which means that come the first week of May when the nominations are announced, there are going to be some very sad faces out there. Unlike other seasons in the past there are no front runners. Here is a list of this years new shows.

Catered Affair, A
Cry-Baby
In the Heights
Little Mermaid, The
Passing Strange
Xanadu
Young Frankenstein

I loved Passing Strange, but it is not a traditional musical. I think that is why I love it so much. Young Frankenstein was pretty funny but because of the huge success of The Producers I expect there to be some sort of backlash against Mel Brook's newest production. Little Mermaid, The is what it is. It's there to put a smile on the face of young girls everywhere. And it does. Except for Xanadu which I have yet to see the three remaining shows will all open in the next couple of months. Well there you have it. Which will fail and which will succeed? We are about to find out.
