All week my colleagues have been raving about this show. So naturally I had to see what all the fuss was about. Normally we as a company don't usually agree when it comes to the shows that we see. Well now that I have seen it I can honestly say that is not the case anymore. I haven't had such an exhilarating evening in theatre like this in a long time. Sure I knew going in what to expect. I checked out the website, heard a couple of songs and thought it sounded like fun. At least unlike most new musicals on Broadway this was original. Not that I'm knocking the other shows I just think it's nice for a change to see something new and exciting. With a score that has some of the most tuneful, soulful rock songs, and witty, thought-provoking lyrics in recent memory, Passing Strange is a moving and hilarious tale of a young, black bohemian on a journey of escape and exploration.
