Brigadoon, with Revised Book by Guare, Headed for Broadway Next Year

A new production of Brigadoon will make its world premiere in Boston this fall prior to opening on Broadway in Spring 2009. Rob
Ashford is set to direct and choreograph the classic, which will feature a new book by John
Guare. Boston dates and theater will be announced in the coming weeks.
Brigadoon tells the story of two disillusioned Americans on vacation in Scotland, where the friends unintentionally discover a village which comes alive for one day every 100 years. The
shows lyrics and original book were by Alan Jay Lerner, with music by Frederick Loewe including such classic songs such as "Almost Like Being In Love" and "Waiting for my
Dearie."
