reasons to be pretty-A New Comic Drama plays on Broadway-And Applause Theater Service Has Insider Prices

I'm excited. Starting previews on March 13, 2009 at New York's Lyceum Theater, a brand new drama comes to Broadway. This new show is called " reasons to be pretty " and it originally appeared Off Broadway in 2008. The show is written by playwright Neil LaBute (who wrote The Shape of Things and Fat Pig) and deals with our obsession with physical beauty. This play completes the trilogy on the same subject matter.

In reasons to be pretty the story line shows us what can happen when a young man makes an "off-handed" comment about a co-worker of her "looks" as compared to his very own girlfriend. As their relationship begins to sour, their friends are all pulled into the fray. They then have to all confront their innermost feelings about trust and infidelity as they ask themselves the often asked question, "how much is pretty worth"?

The cast four member cast includes Marin Ireland, Steven Pasquale and original cast members Piper Perabo and Thomas Sadoski. The show is directed by Terry Kinney.
