Although I enjoy most of the Broadway Shows I get to see in New York City, after 34 years and attending a few hundred Broadway Shows, I can safely say that Wicked is a real "winner" of a show. Day after day this production sells tons of tickets. Not only that but people all over the world go back to see Wicked over and over again. I've seen it 4 times myself,each time a wonderfully warm and exciting experience.
Wicked tells the "prequel" story to The Wizard Of Oz, one of the most popular films ever made. In Wicked we get to see Glinda "the good and beautiful witch" and Elphaba, the scary looking yet not see "evil witch" and follow their relationship as they room together at "witch school". The show has lots of great music, a love interest, an extremely well written story and great acting, making Wicked a fantastic live experience as well as a really "fun time" at New York's Gershwin Theater.
