Norman Seeks to Conquer Broadway this Spring

Add Alan Ayckbourn’s “Norman Conquests” to a busy spring season on Broadway. Mr. Ayckbourn’s 1973 comic trilogy of interlocking plays, which was recently revived at the Old Vic Theater in London, is headed to the Circle in the Square Theater with its six-member cast intact, the show’s publicists said in a release. In each of the trilogy’s plays, an assistant librarian named Norman (played by Stephen Mangan) tries to seduce a different woman during a chaotic weekend. The plays, directed by Matthew Warchus (who also directed the recent Broadway revival of “Boeing-Boeing“), will run on a rotating schedule, and all three will be presented consecutively on Saturdays. “The Norman Conquests” is to begin previews on April 7 and open April 23; its limited run is scheduled through July 25.
Having done an Ayckbourn play myself, How the Other Half Loves, I am very much looking forward to this trilogy. Call Applause now to get your tickets to this fun fest. Call and ask for an Insider Deal for some extra savings. 800-451-9930
