Reasons To Be Pretty Comes To Broadway

One of the shows that could become one of this season's most popular on Broadway begins performances on March 13, 2009. It's a comedy called Reasons To Be Pretty, a new play written by Neil LaBute and starring Marin Ireland and Steven Pascuale.

Reasons To Be Pretty is a show about America's obsession with "physical beauty". This show tells of a young man called Greg, and his "offhand" comment about one of his female co-workers having a pretty face (as well as his own girlfriend not having one). Naturally the comment gets back to Greg's girlfriend. Not only does it create friction between them but involves their close friends as well.

Reasons To Be Pretty certainly sounds like a fun time at the theater. Having been involved in Broadway theater ticket sales for many years, our staff almost always gets invited to preview performances of new shows. As soon as I get a chance to see Reasons To Be Pretty, I will report back to the readers of our Applause News Blog. I'm really looking forward to seeing this comedy. Who knows, maybe it will become one of the hit shows of the season. One never knows.
