Broadway Grosses

Well it's that time again folks. Time to take a look at last week's grosses. Believe it or not but there were nine shows that hit the one million mark. That has to be some kind of record. Now one of those(Harry Connick Jr.) will conclude his run this Thursday. The one that surprised me was The Phantom of the Opera. I mean the show has been playing for a record breaking twenty three years and yet it is still one of Broadway's biggest sellers. This year's Tony winning Best Musical Memphis is just below the one million mark for the fourth week in a row. Still hanging on are American Idiot and Come Fly Away. Now as I have said in previous blogs I don't expect Come Fly Away to have a long run. Same thing with Million Dollar Quartet. Of course I have been wrong before so we shall see. Until next time theatre fans.
