That's right theatre fans. Two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper is returning to the Great White Way. I know what you're thinking. Didn't I mean to say that the star of American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook is making his Broadway debut instead? Nope. In fact he appeared on Broadway in Three Days Of Rain back in 2006 opposite Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd. Forgot didn't you? I saw the show and while most critics did not give the show or Miss Roberts very good reviews I actually enjoyed it. Now here we are eight years later and he is set to open this fall in a revival of The Elephant Man. Saw that production too. The 2002 version that is not the original. Enjoyed that production as well. I am sensing a pattern here folks.
This new production comes courtesy of the Williamstown Theatre Festival where Mr. Cooper portrayed the lead character in the Summer of 2014 to critical acclaim. The show which is set to begin previews at the Booth Theatre on October 18 is being directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis and will also star Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola. Opening night is scheduled for November 13 and will run thru January 18. 2015 although if reviews are good you never know. I mean it's not like he has to hurry off to film Hangover 4. Tickets are already on sale and I'm sure will be going very fast Get your tickets to see The Elephant Man on Broadway at the Booth Theatre. I can't wait.
