The Stars Align On The Great White Way This Fall

What? Stars on Broadway? What will they think of next? Yes I know big name celebrities appearing on Broadway is nothing new. However this year there seems to be more than ever before. In fact between now and the end of the year there are nine new shows set to open with some of the biggest stars of stage and screen. From new plays by some of the theatres most exciting new playwrights to classic works by some of Broadway's most beloved writers there is something for everyone this season. So who are these stars that are about to take Broadway by storm this Fall you ask? Let's find out shall we?

Constellations - Jake Gyllenhaal

A Delicate Balance - Glenn Close, John Lithgow, and Martha Plaimpton

Disgraced- Josh Radnor

The Elephant Man- Bradley Cooper, Patricia Clarkson

It's Only A Play-F. Murray Abraham, Matthew Broderick, Stockard Channing, Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally

The Real Thing- Ewan McGregor and Maggie Gyllenhaal

The River- Hugh Jackman

This Is Our Youth- Michael Cera

You Can't Take It With You- James Earl Jones

Now that's what I call a cavalcade of stars. The only question of course is what do you see? Here's an idea. Why not see them all? I know I would if I had the money. Now to be honest the one I am looking forward to the most is You Can't Take It With You as it is one of my favorite plays of all time. After that I would have to go with The Real Thing followed by A Delicate Balance. Let me guess. You thought I was going to say The River right? What can I say? I guess I'm just not a big Hugh Jackman fan like some people. That's the great thing about theatre. There's something for everybody. Here's to any exciting Fall season. Until next time theatre fans.
