Applause And Travel Agents

Since 1987, Applause Theatre and Entertainment Service has been serving customers from everywhere around the world. I have worked at Applause for a long time now. Not as long as the company has been around, but a long time nonetheless. Now in all that time, I would reckon to say that I have sold tickets to thousands of different people. Like I said, I have been here a long time.

From regular customers who called us looking for the best deals, to concierges looking to get premium tickets for their guests, we have served them all. Now the truth is I love all of our customers. However today's blog is about one particular group.

I am of course talking about the travel industry. It still amazes that after all these years, I still hear from the same travel agents year after year. In fact just the other day I spoke to a travel agent from California who has been using us from day one. That's almost thirty years for those of you keeping count. That is one loyal customer my friends. Oh and by the way, for those travel agents who have never used us, I have some great news.

For every ticket you purchase for your client, Applause will send a commission check to your travel agency within a week or two. In addition, for every ticket you purchase for yourself or your family, you will a receive a generous discount on all tickets. Now do you see why so many travel agent's use us again and again?

Now the truth is, there are hundreds of companies out there that sell tickets. In fact when I started working here twelve years ago I thought we only sold tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Makes sense. After all that's what most of those ticket companies do day in and day out. So what makes us different from everybody else? Well for starters we are based in New York City. Not only that, but our office is in the theatre district, right in the heart of New York City.

In fact, we are just three short blocks away from Broadway's hottest new show. You've all heard of Hamilton haven't you? Of course you have. Now while Broadway may be our bread and butter we do offer other things as well. Heading to Las Vegas and want to see a show? No problem. How about tickets to the World Series or next year's Super Bowl? You want them. We've  got them. Or maybe you're thinking of heading over to London and want to see such classics like Guys and Dolls or The Mousetrap? It's as easy as 1-2-3.

Now I know what you're thinking. You and your family are in New York for vacation. Surely there has to be other things to see and do besides a Broadway show right? As you know New York is home to some of the finest restaurants in the world. The only problem is which one to choose. Now I'll admit I'm more of a meat and potatoes kind of guy. I always have been. Of course everyone is not like me. Thankfully most people are like my co-worker Todd. In fact, Todd has compiled a list of some of his favorite restaurants. Trust me. He won't steer you wrong.
