I was fortunate enough to see this show at the first preview performance here in New York. Those are always fun, there is such energy in the theater. Des McAnuff the director came out to talk to the audience to advise them that there may be some missteps or mistakes made since it was the first preview and that the show may need to be stopped at some point. Well what we saw was near perfection! The audience ate it up. People got up and were grooving to the music. What a show! It's not to be missed! Oh and by the way it won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical!
