A Catered Affair Is Broadway's Must See Show-Applause Has Amazing Seats

I love everything Faith Prince has done on Broadway. From Jerome Robbins Broadway to Guys and Dolls (my favorite of all), to Bells Are Ringing and so many others. She is a true Broadway star in my opinion.

Now Faith teams up with Harvey Fierstein (Torch Song Trilogy, La Cage aux Folles and most recently in Hairspray) as well as with television and Broadway veteran Tom Wopat (best known for his starring role as Luke Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard and on Broadway in Chicago and Annie Get Your Gun).

A Catered Affair is a new musical with Book by Harvey Fierstein, Music and Lyrics by John Bucchino and Direction by John Doyle. The original screenplay was written in 1956 by Gore Vidal based on Paddy Cayefsky's teleplay about a Bronx couple in 1953 that has the toughest decision to make-whether to spend the entire family savings on their family business or to give their only daughter the most lavish wedding reception of the times.

The show will portray the couple's love for each other since they were married as well as the newly awakened feelings they still have for one another. Not to mention the usual family problems in family relationships with one another.

This show will begin previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City on March 25,2008. To place an order for great seats you may want to contact the Applause Theatre Service staff at 212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930. They have an informative web site and also welcome the opportunity to speak with you when you have a chance.

Enjoy A Catered Affair. It will be one of the great Broadway shows of the season.
