To be honest I have never heard of Top Hat. Anyway after a little research thanks to Wikipedia I learned that it was a movie that came out in 1935 starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Let me guess? It probably has a lot of dance in it? I would think so considering it's a musical after all. Now I'm guessing that the reason that most people are going to the show is because they have seen the movie. However for those of you like me who have never seen it here is a brief description of Top Hat from the shows official website. Enjoy!
Experience the show audiences and critics are raving about, as RKO Pictures' TOP HAT brings the glamour of Hollywood's golden age and the glorious, tap-dancing magic of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers to the West End in one of the greatest dance musicals of all time. Tim Walker of The Sunday Telegraph writes, "This is the most sublimely performed, choreographed, orchestrated and costumed musical I have seen in the last 25 years. I can’t ever see London – or me tiring of it. It is sublime”.
O.K. I know that doesn't really tell you what the show is about but the critics seem to love it. Audiences too. Now for those of you heading to London in the coming months and are looking for tickets to see Top Hat you have come to the right place. Tickets are now on sale September 2013. Get your tickets to see Top Hat at the Aldwych Theatre in London. Good seats are now available so call now. Until next time theatre fans.
