Returning to the West End for the first time since it's acclaimed 1997 production is The Weir. Written by famed Irish playwright The Weir won the 1999 Olivier Award for Best Play of the Year. The show which is scheduled to open on April 18 will play at the Donmar Warehouse thru June 8. Now don't worry theatre fans. I haven't forgotten about the synopsis. So here you go.
In Brendan's pub, isolated above the town, the men are gathering for their daily pint. The arrival of a stranger in their midst - a woman - spurs them to impress her with stories. They are stories of souls past and of spirits very much present. But one story is more chilling and more real than any of the men could have foreseen.
Spooky don't you think? Sounds like something I might like. Now I wish I would have seen it when it played on Broadway in 1999. Who knows? Maybe it will come back one day. By the way for those of you heading over to London in the next couple of months and want to see The Weir you are in luck.
Not only do we sell tickets to The Weir but for every show and event in London. Get your tickets to see The Weir at the Donmar Warehouse in London. Until next time theatre fans.
