Broadway Revival Of Lips Together,Teeth Apart Now On Sale

It's funny but out of all the shows that playwright Terrance McNally has written in the past few decades the only two shows if his that I have seen have been musicals. The Full Monty and Ragtime both of which he was nominated for a Tony for Best Book of A Musical. He won for the latter as well as one for Kiss of The Spider Woman. In fact during the 1990's he won two more Tony's back to back in 1995 and 1996 for Best Play.

Well now here we are in 2010 and the Roundabout Theatre Company is presenting one his most well known works. Lips Together,Teeth Apart. The show which first premiered Off-Broadway starred Tony winners Christine Baranski, Swoosie Kurtz, and future Tony winner Nathan Lane. Rounding out the foursome were Tony nominee Anthony Heald.

This new production which will mark it's first time on Broadway stars Emmy winner Megan Mullaly,Patton Oswalt,Lily Taylor, and David Wilson Barnes. The show which is being directed by Tony winner and frequent McNally collaborator Joe Mantello(Wicked) will begin previews at the American Airlines Theatre on April 9, 2010 with opening night set for April 29.

Here is a brief synopsis about the show from it's official website."It's July 4th weekend and two couples have come together at a beautiful beach house for a few days of fun and sun. But once the barbecue's lit and the daiquiris are made, the disturbing reality hits them. The will have to spend their entire vacation together.

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun if you ask me. Be advised that like most Roundabout Theatre productions seating is limited early in the run due to it's large subscription base so don't delay.Get your tickets to see Lips Together,Teeth Apart on Broadway. It is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
