Tallulah Bankhead On Broadway

Now before you think I've lost my mind I know that Tallulah Bankhead is no longer with us. We all know that the eccentric movie star died a long time ago. I am talking about the new play Looped which stars Emmy winner Valerie Harper as Ms. Bankhead. This show which begins previews on February 19 at the Lyceum Theater takes place in a sound studio in 1965 where Ms. Bankhead is trying re-record or "loop" one line of dialogue for what would turn out to be her last film,"Die, Die My Darling."

Now I've always been a fan of Ms. Harper's television work and although she has been on stage quite a lot over the years I have never seen her perform. Last month I wrote a blog stating that the show has the making of an hysterical night in the theatre or a train wreck of epic proportions. Either way I am dying to see it. Tickets are set to go on sale this Monday. Call Applause to get your tickets to see Looped on Broadway. It is sure to be one of the most talked about shows of the season.
