How To Save Money Buying Broadway Show Tickets In 2010

One of the many lessons small businesses have learned during the past few years is to "listen to the customer". "Listen or they will shop elsewhere" says Rich Gladstone, the co-owner of a Broadway ticket selling company called Applause Theater Service of New York City. Just yesterday in the Applause Theater Service phone room, we received calls from four prospective customers from different parts of the country requesting we find them less expensive tickets for various Broadway Shows they were interested in obtaining.

We made sales to Jeff Youngman of Illinois, Stephen Taylor and Janet Misiolek, both from Pennsylvania and Shane McClure, a local customer in New York City. Jeff purchased tickets for Hair The Musical. Stephen is going to see West Side Story, Janet will attend Memphis The Musical and Shane is going to see Mary Poppins. Four different sales to four different customers all with one common thread. They simply didn't want to pay the out of reach prices for top price orchestra and front mezzanine seats that Broadway Shows are charging now.

And who can blame them really? I'm pleased to report that all four of these new Applause Theater Service customers purchased top price seats through the Applause Theater Service below face value promotion. The below face value Broadway Show ticket deals promotion is Applause's way of giving back to the theater-going public, many of whom simply cannot pay the high price of going to Broadway Shows.

When I reviewed each of these customer purchases prior to writing this article, I found that we saved each of these customers over $50.00 a ticket from the usual retail ticket agency prices for their respective shows. So if you are thinking of purchasing Hair The Musical tickets, West Side Story The Musical tickets, Mary Poppins The Musical tickets or Memphis The Musical tickets, please remember that you have a friend in New York City that can save you lots of money when buying tickets for Broadway Theater.

Cheers,

Rich Gladstone
