New York's Marriott Marquis Theater to Present Come Fly Away

With its first preview to play at New York City's Marriott Marquis Theater on March 1, 2010 (with a March 25, 2010 official opening night), a new song-and-dance show called Come Fly Away will get lots of attention this Spring in New York City. Come Fly Away is a brand new Twyla Tharp dance show which is about 4 couples and their love lives during one song and dance filled night at a very crowded night club. I understand that the Come Fly Away musical will have 14 dancers in the show and 19 musician's who will perform live onstage.

Twyla Tharp's amazing dance body of work was most recently seen on Broadway in Movin' Out, with music by legendary artist Billy Joel. Movin' Out played on Broadway for 1303 performances. It won the several 2003 Tony Awards including Best Musical and a Best Direction award for Ms. Tharp as well. In addition, Ms. Tharp handled the choreography for The Times They Are A Changin', a Bob Dylan themed musical. The latter didn't have much popular traction and closed only after a few months.

The Come Fly Away Broadway show will use "master recordings" of Frank Sinatra's music with the live band playing backup. Sinatra classics will include Fly Me To The Moon, My Way and many others that will sure to bring back amazing memories to those that are big fans from the Sinatra era.

As we gather additional information on how to purchase Come Fly Away tickets on Broadway, we will keep Applause Broadway Ticket News readers informed every step of the way. In the meantime, you may want to have a look at Applause Theater Service's unique below face value ticket deals on many popular Broadway Shows. Below Face Value is Applause's ongoing promotion to bring about lower prices on Broadway Show tickets for the theater-going public.

Stay tuned theater lovers, we'll keep you posted on Come Fly Away tickets again in the near future. My guess is that before the critic's give their reviews on Come Fly Away, that Applause will be able to offer its customers special pricing for the preview period of the show.
