Tony Winner Next To Normal To Tour Next Year
That's right theatre fans. One of last season's most critically acclaimed shows is set to tour the country in 2011. If you haven't seen Next To Normal on Broadway well don't you dare miss it if it comes to your city. The show which won three 2009 Tony Awards including Best Actress and Best Music is not only one of the most original musicals out there but one of it's most touching as well. Now I know there are those of you out there who may not want to see it due to it's subject matter or because you might have heard that it is a little on the depressing side. You know what I say? Big deal. Life is depressing at times. There is no such thing as the perfect family or the perfect situation. I don't care who you are. That is what makes the show so powerful. Now for the twenty-five thousand dollar question. The show has been very successful during it's Broadway run. How it will play around the country is another story. I personally think it will do very well if people just give it a chance. We shall see.JWB
