Hairspray To Close In London

It was announced today that the London production of Hairspray will close on March 28 after a run of two and half years and over 1,000 performances. The show which won the Olivier Award for Best Musical first opened in the West End in October 2007 at the Shaftesbury Theatre. According to a production source the show recouped it's entire investment after twenty-nine weeks and was also the longest running show in the history of the theatre.
