Defending The Caveman Returns To New York

That's right theatre fans. One of Broadway's longest and most successful shows is coming back to New York this Winter.Defending The Caveman. The show written by comedian Rob Becker first opened on Broadway in 1996 at the Helen Hayes Theatre where it ran for a record breaking 702 performances. I never saw the show during it's first run but always heard good things about it. This new production is set to begin previews Off Broadway on February 23 at The Downstairs Theatre at Sofia's which is located at 221 West 46th Street. Opening night is set for March 7. Tickets are on sale thru April 18.

For those of you who want to know a little bit about the show here is a brief description about the show. "With hilarious insights on contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zone," Defending the Caveman, according to press notes, "mines the common themes in relationships that go straight through the funny bone and into the heart. Defending the Caveman makes us laugh at ourselves and all the ways that men and woman fight, laugh and love."

Sounds funny to me. Maybe I'll check it out this time around. Performances will be Tuesdays at 7 PM, Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 5 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. Get your tickets to see Defending The Caveman. Don't forget that if you need tickets to other shows Off-Broadway that Applause is open seven days a week to help you with all your ticket needs.
