9 to 5 The Broadway Musical-How to purchase tickets at Below Face Value

I was invited to a preview performance of 9 to 5 The Musical, a new show with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. What a talented lady she is. She even was good enough to talk with some of us in the ticket business after the show. You can imagine that the Broadway show 9 to 5 is like the movie of many years back, which starred Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda. It seems like only yesterday. The show tells the story of a sexist boss who after one too many of his "shenanigans" gets the "tables turned" on him. He is taken captive until he decides to turn over a new leaf. All sorts of chaos takes place but the bottom line is this. When you get to sit in the audience at the Marquis Theater in New York, you see a full-fledged hard working, great dancing, fun-loving cast of Broadway actors aiming to please.

Although it sometimes feels like we have seen this type of show before on other nights (kind of like Legally Blonde or Cry-Baby), whatever the show may lack in originality, they sure make up for in substance. Every minute of the show is high octane, especially Allison Janney (from The West Wing). She is one of my favorites and is a standout performer on a Broadway stage. Who would have thought so?

I'm not sure if 9 to 5 The Musical will win any 2009 Tony Awards but the show is worth a visit to Broadway in my opinion. It's another nice light and lively night at the theater.

Right now through June 26, 2009, Applause Theater Service can get you into 9 to 5 at BELOW FACE VALUE prices. Simply stated, we can get an insider's discount price, as the show will need to pickup a Tony Award or two to start selling out. We add on a small service charge for our excellent service then offer them to you at below cost. If you think this makes sense for you, give Applause a call today. If you think you may want to talk about other Broadway Shows, we'd love to talk whenever you get a few minutes.

There are dozens of ticket agents that will offer you seats at "scalper" prices. A simple call to them and you'll know what I mean. Applause is a New York State licensed ticket agency for nearly 22 years now (license #71AP1001029). There's no substitute for excellent customer service and the best prices, is there?

We'd love to hear from you whenever your plans include Broadway theater.

Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone
