15 TONY AWARD NOMINATIONS FOR BILLY ELLIOT

Billy Elliot and The Producers are the only shows to receive 15 nominations in the history of the Tony Awards. The three fantastic young men who play the role of Billy Elliot were nominated as one for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical, which I believe is the first time three people were nominated as one unit.
So many people have been back to see the show again and again and many are trying to make sure that see all three young men in the roll of Billy Elliot.

Billy Elliot was also nominated for 10 Drama Desk Awards and 7 Outer Critics Circle Awards.

The story takes place in a coal mining town in Wales where a young boy falls in love with ballet and instead of dedicating himself to football(soccer) he takes ballet lessons. The show is moving at many levels: the struggles of the miners against conditions and wages in the mill, the poverty of the miners, the struggle of a boy who is interested in dancing where his society dictates that young men should be involved in sports.

Applause has sold so many tickets to this show and have received nothing but thanks from the customers to whom we recommended Billy Elliot. Call us and speak to a sales expert now for the best seats at the best prices anywhere! 800-451-9930
