Guys and Dolls on Broadway-Need great food too?

My wife and I saw Guys and Dolls this past Tuesday night. Check out my blog dated February 18, 2009 at Broadway Ticket News if you get a chance. Just scroll down till you see the Guys and Dolls logo. A great revival of an old-fashioned Broadway Show my friends. Get yourself some tickets now before the critics make it a "rave".

If you need a great place to eat before the show, you might give Esca restaurant a call. My friend Todd gave us dinner there and what a great treat it was. I hadn't been there in several years but as soon as I was greeted at the door, my recall was one of great fondness for this mid-town bistro.

Esca is located at 402 West 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. The restaurant is known for the quality fish dishes they prepare as well as many Italian specialties. Mario Batali (one of the best chef's around) and Joe Bastianich are co-owners of this wonderful place located a block outside the "hub" of the Broadway Theater district. It took us 5-7 minutes to walk to Guys and Dolls. The pasta is delicious as well and the service as second to none. It's kind of "pricey" but then again, we were treated to dinner. Still, dinner at Esca restaurant and tickets to Guys and Dolls made it a great night for us. Their phone number is 212-564-7272. You can check out http://www.esca-nyc.com/

I have several other great dining spots I can refer to you. Just give me a call at Applause Theater Service in New York at 212-307-7050 or toll free at 800-451-9930. You can ask for Rich Gladstone. I love going to Broadway Shows and love to eat at nice restaurants too.

Remember my suggestion to see Guys and Dolls. If you need tickets, give me a call. this show could be one of the top musicals of the season.
