The Miracle Worker To Open On Broadway Tomorrow Night

The wait is over. After three weeks of previews The Miracle Worker is set to open tomorrow night at the Circle in the Square Theatre. The show which marks it's first time on Broadway in over fifty years began previews on February 12. I had the great pleasure of seeing the show last week and while some of the directorial choices were a little questionable at times there is no denying the talent of it's fine ensemble of actor's.

Now while I enjoyed everybody the real standout for me was Alison Pill in the leading role of Annie Sullivan who as I mentioned in my review last week is sure to be nominated for a Tony Award for her outstanding work. To be honest I'm not sure what the critic's will say but regardless of what the reviews are like come Thursday morning it is a show that deserves to be seen. It is a great show for all ages especially school groups that are looking for a solid show to see. I hope it enjoys a long run. Check out my blog on Thursday when I will post the reviews for the show. Until next time theatre fans.
