I don't know about you but this is great news for all you 80's music fans like me. Rock of Ages the new Broadway sensation will soon be coming to a theatre near you. Yes I know it's not exactly new anymore. In fact it will be celebrating it's one year anniversary next month.I first saw the show Off-Broadway in the fall of 2008 and loved it but I will admit I was a little worried when they announced it was coming to Broadway. It was in such an intimate space that I thought it might get swallowed up in a larger venue.
I guess I shouldn't have worried. Not only has it become one of Broadway's biggest hits but it also received five Tony nominations including Best Musical of the Year. Pretty impressive don't you think?Now for those of you who can't make it to New York to see the show it's National Tour is set to launch this fall. Performances begin on September 21 at The Bank of America Theatre in Chicago with additional dates and cities to be announced shortly. Get your tickets to see Rock of Ages on Broadway or when it comes to a city near you. You will not be disappointed.
