Broadway Ticket Sales For The Week of April 25-May 1, 2016 - A Look At The Top Ten Broadway Shows

Broadway ticket sales reports are in for last week (for performances April 25 through May 1, 2016) and it is worthy to note that the top 10 shows, in general, are doing better than the prior weeks ticket sales for their shows.  Only The Lion King and Wicked had small decreases.  5 of the 10 shows have been playing for several seasons now and the other 5 are new to this current Broadway season.  Ticket sales were $28,331,921.81.  Imagine that?  That's allot of people buying tickets for Broadway Shows.

Here are some interesting statistics on last weeks Broadway ticket sales.

1. The Lion King $1,950,539 with 99.99% capacity- now playing for 18 years

2. Hamilton $1,818,758 with 101.76% capacity

3. Wicked $1,625,910 with 95.14% capacity- now playing 12 years

4. Aladdin $1,494,979 with 99.70% capacity- now playing 2 years

5. The Book Of Mormon $1,332,910 with 102.16% capacity- now playing 5 years

6. Paramour $1,065,771.30 with 97.07% capacity

7. School Of Rock $1,033,657.30 with 87.76% capacity

8. Beautiful: The Carole King Musical $996,237 with 96.67% capacity- now playing 2 years

9. On Your Feet $969,147 with 72.19% capacity

10. Waitress $907,936 with 100.81% capacity
