Hamilton Tickets Update For May 5 Through May 10, 2016

Most regular theatergoers these days know that Hamilton tickets at the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York City are extremely expensive.  They are not "impossible to get" as many callers to my company Applause-Tickets often say.  It's just that because of the incredibly high demand, Hamilton tickets seem to give the impression that tickets are hard to get.

I've been a licensed ticket broker for 39 years and although there have been some other popular Broadway shows that have been in high demand, like The Book of Mormon, Phantom of the Opera when it began playing nearly 30 years ago and a few others, I've never seen a ticket command such a high price like Hamilton tickets are doing right now.

Personally I think the show is way overpriced.  This is simply due to the fact that there are enough people willing to pay the high prices.  Like so many other things in our lives that at times command high prices, like gasoline, some meats and vegetable prices and so many other items we use in our daily lives, eventually Hamilton tickets pricing will move downward.  The best thing for high prices is high prices as eventually the people paying the high prices will have seen Hamilton on Broadway. What happens next is that everyone that still wants to see this years big hit musical sensation will get into the show at much more reasonable ticket prices.

I've been suggesting to Applause-Tickets callers that they consider seeing one, two or even three of the top Broadway shows just playing around the corner from Hamilton the Musical for the same price of just one Hamilton ticket.  And most people are indeed doing so.  Many of the top shows are offering "insider prices" as well.  What could be a better alternative to Hamilton than this?  There's nothing like live Broadway theater in my opinion.

For those people considering purchasing Hamilton tickets, here's a listing of Hamilton tickets inventory for the next several days.  One can easily see that there are less Hamilton tickets as the weekend approaches versus the weekday performances.  Here's the current inventory for the show.
