Kurt Weill's The Threepenny Opera To Play London This Spring

The Threepenny Opera TicketsThat's right theatre fans. Mack the Knife is back in town, and London will never be the same again. The Threepenny Opera, which first premiered in Berlin in 1928, is set to open at the Olivier Theatre on May 18.

Featuring a score by Kurt Weill, book by Bertolt Brecht, and direction by award winning director Rufus Norris, The Threepenny Opera is one show you don't want to miss. So what exactly is the show about? Well I'll tell you. Here is a brief synopsis about the show to tell you more.

Set in London before Queen Victoria's corination, The Threepenny Opera tells the story of antihero and criminal Macheath (Mack the Knife), who pursues and eventually marries the daughter of local shop owners Mr. and Mrs. Peachum.

This of course doesn't sit well with Mr. Peachum, who unbeknownst to Mack is scheming to have him hanged for his crimes. Luckily for Mack the chief of police is an old army buddy from years ago. Now I could tell you the ending but that would ruin the surprise. I guess you'll just have to see it for yourself and find out the fate of one Mack the Knife.

So, know that you know a little bit about the show, I bet you are dying to know how to get tickets right? Of course you are. Well do I have good news for you. We sell tickets for the show. In fact we sell tickets to every show and event in London. Who knew? Get your tickets to see The Threepenny Opera in London at the Olivier Theatre. You will love it. Until next time theatre fans.
