Broadway Grosses

Well it's been six days since the Tony nomination's and now it's time to see if that had any effect on last weeks figures. Let's take a look. Once again it was the same six shows leading the pack. However last week a new show joined the million dollar club. The show? Fences starring two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington. Now we all know that the show would be a big seller. After all his last time on Broadway was a smash it as well.

Now another reason for it's bump in sales was probably due to it's ten Tony nominations last week. Besides the top seven shows six other shows grossed over $700,000 including Come Fly Away which continues to be a big seller despite being shut out in all the major categories for this year's Tony Awards. Expect more shows to see a boost in sales as we get closer to Tony night and beyond. Don't forget to check out the Tony Awards on June 13 on CBS. I know I'll be watching.
