Now those of you who read my blogs know that I am not the biggest Disney fan in the world. Although I do have to admit they do have their place on Broadway. Let's face facts. If not for Disney most kids would never get the chance to experience a Broadway show. For that they should be commended. Anyway as I was saying that while Disney may not be at the top of my list as far as what Broadway shows to see Mary Poppins was a favorite of mine growing up as a child. In fact I would dare say I probably saw the movie a hundred times when I was a kid.
Now while I was excited when I heard they were going to make a Broadway musical out of it I was a little hesitant about seeing it. Now we all know that when Disney puts on a show they give it their all. They aren't successful for nothing. I guess I was just a little worried that it wouldn't have as much heart as the movie. Well I am happy to say that I was wrong. Seeing the show made me feel like a kid again. How many shows can do that?
For those of you who think that you have to be a kid to appreciate the show I am proof positive that is not true. We're all young at heart after all. Now for those of you who have yet to experience the magic that is Mary Poppins then you have come to the right place. From now thru July 4 you can tickets to see this beloved musical for prices that are....wait for it...below face value. Be advised that while this offer is good for all performances blackout dates and restrictions may apply. Get your tickets to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. It will make you feel like a kid again.
