My Thoughts On The Ticket Industry

Having worked in the ticket industry for over a decade now I can honestly say that I have done and seen it all. From selling tickets over the phone at Applause to working in the box office I have had the chance to help thousands of people with all their ticket needs. Now while the job may have changed one thing has not. It's all about customer service. I can't tell you how important that is when it comes to not only our industry but any industry that you are in.

Whether you are ordering tickets to a Broadway show or ordering a meal at a nice restaurant it is all the same. I mean would you buy something from someone who doesn't give you the respect that you deserve? I know I wouldn't. Look we all know that the cost of going to a Broadway show has gotten expensive over the years. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that we are the only game in town. We're not.In fact in New York City alone there are at least twenty to twenty-five with hundreds more around the country.

Now of those ticket agents I would say more than half of those are licenced by their respective states. The truth is you can spend all day researching different sites trying to find the best deal. In fact I recommend that you do. We all know that nobody buys on their first call. I know I like to do a little investigating when I am looking to purchase something. In this economy it just makes sense right? I suggest you shop around and by all means take your time. Then do what is best for you for you. It's your money.
