That's right theatre fans. This season's most nominated show is now available at prices that can't beat. Fela! which received eleven 2010 Tony nominations including Best Musical opened at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on November 23, 2009 to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. The show is based on the life of musician and political activist Fela Anikulapo Kuti and features his music. Now depite all the nominations I'm not sure how well it will do at next month's Tony Awards. My pick for Best Musical was American Idiot but it seems to be losing steam as of late.
My guess it will come down to Fela and Memphis. Now as much as I enjoyed Million Dollar Quartet it will just have to settle for a Tony nomination and hopefully a great performance on the Tony Awards.
