2010 Tony Nominations

Well the 2010 Tony Nominations are in and just like with yesterday's Drama Desk nominations there are some surprises along with some glaring oversights. First of all why was The Addams Family not nominated for Best Musical? Is there a backlash against the show because it this season's biggest hit even though it got horrible reviews? Now I didn't see Million Dollar Quartet but I'm glad it got the nomination over Come Fly Away.

Last week I posted a blog on my Tony picks in all the major categories and I did pretty well. Out of the four slot's for Best Musical and Revival I got one wrong. Same with the awards for Best Actor and Actress in a Play and a Musical. Not too bad. Anyway here are the nominations. Both Fela! and La Cage aux Folles received the most with eleven each. Fences received ten which was the most for a play.Enjoy!
