That's right theatre fans. One of next season's most highly anticipated shows has found a home. Following on the heels of last month's announcement that the Ray Charles musical Unchain My Heart was set to open on Broadway comes the news that the new musical will now begin previews at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre on October 8,2010 with opening night set for November 7,2010.Playing the iconic role is Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon recent star of the Broadway bound musical The Scotsboro Boys which just finished an acclaimed run Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre. The show which is being directed by Sheldon Epps features the music of the late music legend and a libretto by Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan Lori-Parks. Now I for one can't wait to see this show. Expect Unchain My Heart to be a big seller come this fall. We will soon find out. Until next time.
