David Mamet's RACE begins its Broadway run November 16, 2009

There are those that like David Mamet's plays and there are those that don't. Then there are people that love some of his work and don't like some of his other works.

Mr. Mamet has written some really good ones that were very popular runs on Broadway. They include Speed The Plow, Glengarry Glen Ross and American Buffalo.

Race is a new play by Mamet. It is about 3 lawyers, two are black and one is white. Their firm is about to defend a white man that is being charged for a crime against a black woman. I think we will be witness to there being some problems that develop on the lawyer's side regarding possible racial allegations.

Race has quite a talented cast that include James Spader (Boston Legal), Richard Thomas (The Waltons), David Alan Grier ( A Soldiers Story, In Living Color) and Kerry Washington (Lakeview Terrace, Ray). Race will be the first time Mr. Mamet will direct one of his own plays. This should be exciting for sure.

A local Broadway ticket agency called Applause has the inside track on discounted tickets of admission for Race. In conjunction with the producers of Race, Applause is able to obtain orchestra, front mezzanine and some mid mezzanine seats at prices that are Below Face Value. We call these our BFV ticket deals. Click here to see a current listing of several other Broadway shows you might want to see.

Right now these specially priced seats are good for performances through December 23, 2009. If the show is reviewed in a very positive way, it is possible that discount tickets will have to be stopped.

Being a huge fan of the hit TV series Boston Legal, I am looking forward to seeing James Spader play a lawyer in Race. He's one of the great actors of our time I think.

I hope you find this information about David Mamet's new show Race helpful to you or someone you know. If you want to talk about Race coming to Broadway, you can call Applause locally at 212-307-7050 or toll free at 1800-451-9930. There is never any pressure to buy tickets. We just consider ourselves folks who know Broadway Theater and love helping people make their plans.

Enjoy the Broadway Theater.
