Alan Ayckbourn's The Norman Conquests Opens on Broadway April 23, 2009

Having recently started preview performances on Broadway at New York's Circle in the Square Theater, I am looking forward to seeing The Norman Conquests, one of the most unique comedies ever to play on Broadway. In fact, I guess you could say The Norman Conquests is 3 very funny comedies.
The Norman Conquests was written by Alan Ayckbourn, one of the most famous writers to come from England. Mr. Ayckbourn has written 71 plays which have been performed in London's West End, The National Theater and The Royal Shakespeare Company as well. The Norman Conquests is a comic "trilogy" of plays that has arrived on Broadway from a sold-out run in London. Each of the 3 plays can be seen separately and you can see them all together on "trilogy days", which are usually on Saturday's and some Sunday's. How cool would that be?

The Norman Conquests are 3 full plays called Table Manners (which takes place in the dining room), Living Together (which takes place in the living room) and Round and Round The Garden (which takes place in the garden). All the action takes place in an English country house as we witness the often wacky antics of 6 spouses and their in-laws during one weekend in time.

The Norman Conquests official opening night is Thursday April 23, 2009 and I am really pulling for Mr. Ayckbourn's plays to receive similar accolades that his works have in England. Right now, the Broadway ticket experts at Applause Theater Service, a long-time local Broadway ticket agency has access to discount tickets for The Norman Conquests through May 30, 2009.
