One of the biggest hits of the past decade has to be Jersey Boys. When the show was first announced in the Spring of 2005 no one thought it would last. After all these so called "Jukebox Musicals" haven't been all that successful over the years. Mamma Mia being the exception. Imagine everyone's surprise when Jersey Boys turned out to be not only a huge hit but actually quite good. To be honest I really had no desire to see the show when it first opened. In fact I waited until almost 2 years after it opened to first see it. Well all I can say is,"It was worth the wait". What an amazing night in the theatre. From the first moment I was hooked. When most people hear that names Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons they of course think about all the great music that they shared with the world. But they are so much more than a few catchy tunes. The struggles that these four men had to go through to make it to the top was unbelievable. Being a songwriter myself I know how hard it can be try and make it. Although if I had to endure some of the things they went through I don't know if I would have had the guts to keep going. Jersey Boys is a feel good musical that will inspire you and make you smile from ear to ear. "Oh what a night!"JWB
