It was announced today that Impressionism,the new play starring Tony Award winners Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen will play it's final performance at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on May 10. The play which opened on March 24 to mostly negative reviews was originally supposed to play thru July 5. This once highly anticipated show,mostly due to the returns of Mr. Irons and Ms. Allen to the Great White Way suffered from poor word of mouth from the get go. Will this show be remembered come Tony time? Probably not but stranger things have happened. We shall wait and see.JWB
