A brand new musical called 9 to 5 The Musical has begun preview performances at New York City's Marquis Theater a few days ago. The show is based on the famous movie of the 1980's and tells the funny story of an extremely successful office manager who joins her co-workers when they decide to "turn the tables" on their sexist boss. The three women literally remove their boss from the workplace and keep him "preoccupied" for a while as they express their new found emancipation. While the boss is away, the ladies make some new changes in the workplace such as "flexible working hours and daycare services". Allison Janney (formerly of The West Wing television series) stars in this show-she's one of my all-time favorite actresses ever. I can't wait to see this show.
