Has it really been six years since Avenue Q opened on Broadway? I remember the first time I saw it in previews and laughed my A** off. Since then I have seen the show several times and it still manages to crack me up every time I see it. The show which has played over 2,500 performances will celebrate it's 6th Anniversary tonight at the John Golden Theatre. Avenue Q is one of my favorite shows and I was so sad to hear that it will be closing on September 13. Hopefully I will get the chance to see it one more time. Six years is a major accomplishment and the creators and the producers of the show should be very proud. No one thought the show would make it this long let alone beat Wicked for the Tony Award but it did. Congratulations Avenue Q and may you continue to have success around the world for many years to come.JWB
